Richard Hamilton founded Hamilton Vineyards in 1837, making his one of the oldest winemaking families in Australia. Their grand tradition continues with this exceptional Centurion Shiraz.
It was fermented in small static fermenters with manual pump-overs three times a day. Approximately 70% was run down to complete its fermentation in oak.
The resulting wine is a full, bright red hue with a nose of rich, ripe and intense regional character. Its full weight palate is alive with rich black cherry, regional spice and is dense yet refined with elegant fruit flavours, grainy tannins and dry, savoury length. It’s drinking wonderfully now or cellar for later, but don’t forget to decant before serving.
