This wine comes from Sant’ Angelo in Colle, Tuscany, where a cool maritime breeze ensures Sangiovese reaches its maximum ripeness. Don’t miss this opportunity to sample its lovely food friendly savouriness.
Rosso di Montalcino is a younger, more accessible version of Brunello, which is made from older-vine fruit and aged for longer in oak casks. Mostly produced from younger vines, it’s only oak aged for one year followed by a period of bottle ageing.
Dried red cherry, earth, tobacco, smoked bacon and toasted spice aromas precede a racy, mouth-watering palate full of cherry and red currant fruit. A savoury texture is balanced by great acidity and vibrant tannins.
