Tahbilk Eric Purbrick Shiraz 2008

Eric Purbrick made the first Tahbilk Special Bin Shiraz in 1948 which was made from the best vats of the vintage. This “best of vintage” approach continues with this 2008 Shiraz named in his honour.
 
Medium red coloured with a hint of brick, it has a rich nose with dark berry, licorice and cassis aromas. The palate is in excellent condition, retaining a still-primary core of fruit with some earthy development creeping in. Quite soft with a velvety texture, ripe tannins and fresh acidity in support.
