TarraWarra Estate Reserve Pinot Noir 2012

The 29-year-old H-Block is the backbone of TarraWarra’s Reserve Pinot Noir blend. It consistently produces their highest quality Pinot Noir as the soil is naturally low-yielding giving optimum vine balance.
 
The fruit batches were kept separate in barrel and blended to the style that expresses the truest form of the varietal and the site.
 
The resulting wine by winemaker Clare Halloran has bright ripe red berry fruit lift on the nose. On the palate there’s lovely cherry berry fruit, obvious vanillin oak, smooth ripe tannins and a fantastic red fruit core with a firm acid frame ensuring longevity.
