Climatically, Albany’s Wignalls Vineyard shares growing conditions in spring and summer virtually identical to that of Burgundy, making it ideal for cool climate Pinot Noirs such as this one.
Typical of the variety, this Pinot Noir is light to medium red with raspberry and cherry fruit aromas, hints of earthy and foresty complexity. It has a rich core of red fruits with a juicy texture and a terrific mouthfeel. Quite youthful at present, it has faint tannic grip and vibrant acidity adding to its structural appeal.
