Wirra Wirra RSW Shiraz 2010

RSW stands for Robert Strangways Wigley who was ‘a noted South Australian eccentric’ and the original founder of Wirra Wirra. The Shiraz named in his honour is a flagship that honours the home of some of the world’s oldest Shiraz vines.
 
A heady nose of luscious raisin, plum and blueberry lift introduces a rich, intense palate with licorice, coffee and spice. Its dark berry core is perfectly balanced with ripe yet assertive tannins and seamless persistence. A natural match for beef and porcini ragout on rigatoni.
