Chalice Bridge The Quest Chardonnay 2016

In the winery: Made entirely from the low yielding Gingin clone, Margaret River’s ‘hero’ clone.
In the glass: Light lemon.
On the nose: Reserved yet complex with some struck match over citrus and white peach.
On the palate: Rich yet refined with a flint and sea spray lift and touches of blanched almond over a ripe core of fruit. Mouth-watering with juicy acidity, good texture and balanced oak support. Vibrant and citrussy yet the complexity is starting to build.
