Australian Semillon is generally light, bright and unoaked, but some WA wineries are making it like Chardonnay, with oak added. This still shows off the lemon notes, but also gives richer notes of toast and honey.
In the glass: Pale lemon green.
On the nose: Aromas of preserved lemon and toast.
On the palate: Presents fresh pine lime flavours along with lovely creamy texture and attractive maturity, which displays as honey and buttered toast characters. The acidity is long and harmonises with lovely vanillin oak.
