Kalgan Ironrock Riesling 2013

Willoughby Park’s Kalgan IronRock range represents the best of this family-owned winery’s estate-owned Great Southern vineyards.
 
Premium fruit from the Great Southern sub-region of Albany was hand picked in two separate parcels. One whole bunch was cold pressed, the other crushed and left on skins in the press overnight before draining. All the grapes underwent natural ferment, 18% in a brand new French oak puncheon, and spent five months on lees.
 
Medium straw in the glass, this attractive Riesling presents lifted citrus varietal aromas, while the palate shows lovely soft acidity, good balance and elegant structure with ripe fruit flavours throughout.
