Leogate Estate Wines Brokenback Chardonnay 2010

Named after the large lion-adorned iron gates that guard their Pokolbin vineyards, Leogate Estate is a Hunter Valley favourite. This Chardonnay comes from the region’s famous Brokenback vineyard.
 
Made by winemaker Mark Woods, this is an excellent modern style of Chardonnay that is drinking superbly with elegant layers of melon and stonefruit balanced by vibrant acidity and restrained oak. Very well balanced it has a lovely mouthfeel and a long, persistent finish.
