This Tasmanian Chardonnay comes from a vineyard planted in limestone-rich soil, similar to that in Burgundy, home of the world’s greatest Chardonnay.
In the glass: Bright pale gold - fabulous for its age.
On the nose: Very complex with peat, oyster shell, almond meal, citrus and stonefruit.
On the palate: Fresh, vibrant and youthful with plenty of ripe varietal fruit, complexed with sweet vanillin oak, leesy texture and layers of development. A nougat-like sweetness is offset by subtle savoury suphide notes and minerally acidity.
