Silkwood Estate The Walcott Riesling 2016

The wines from this picturesque estate in the remote south-western Pemberton region have always been good, but a recent revamp of the range and a new winemaking team have taken it to new heights.
 
In the glass: Pale lemon green.
On the nose: Elderflower, lime and green apple lift.
On the palate: Light and etherial – a wine of purity and finesse with layers of green and white fruits, racy acidity and lingering persistence.
