Winemaker Andrew Spencer-Wright has a long history with Cabernet including winning Best New World Red at the 2000 Tokyo International Wine Challenge. In this wine, he’s combined it with Shiraz for a classic Australian blend.
Opening with an intense nose showing inky dark fruit and sweet, spicy oak, this blend has a palate that’s very ripe and stylish yet still youthful with loads of black fruit power and an underlying developing maturity. Notes of espresso, chocolate and crushed leaf and very fine tannins on the long finish.
