Representing the pinnacle of Pipers Brook Vineyard’s Pinot Noir, the Lyre is produced from exceptionally low fruit yields, which add richness, complexity and longevity to the wine.
Cherry in the glass with a purple hue, it has a juicy lift of sweet wild cherries, elderberries and violets on the nose with earthy, brooding secondary forest floor tones. The palate shows beautiful sweet velvety lift, hints of peppermint, lanolin and currants. Spice and savoury notes are well supported by good fruit weight and lovely fine layers of mocha. It has finely integrated French oak and long plush tannins that flow through on the finish. A wine of terrific poise, power and lift.
