Established in 1974, Pipers Brook takes a meticulous approach to winemaking, resulting in cool climate Tasmanian wines with integrity and finesse like this Riesling crafted entirely from fruit grown on the Pipers Brook vineyard.
Winemaker René Bezemer says the inspiration for this wine is the steely, complex Rieslings from the French region of Alsace. It is pale straw in the glass with lifted lime juice, talc and citrus sherbet on the nose. The palate is tight, steely, minerally and intense with strong lime juice varietals and a chalky, talc-like textural appeal, while the mouthwatering finish offers zesty acidity and refreshing Granny Smith-like length.
