The grapes for Tyrrell’s famous Vat 47 Chardonnay come from the Short Flat Vineyard, which was planted by the legendary Murray Tyrrell in the late 1960s.
In the glass: Bright, pale gold.
On the nose: Intense and complex with strong, smoky yet classy oak over simmering citrus and stonefruit power.
On the palate: Long, pure and focussed with white peach, nectarine, fig, cashew and lees-driven finesse, deluxe oak richness and classy length. So elegant and refined.
