With over 300 acres under vine, the Amadio Family Vineyard is the largest in the Adelaide Hills. No doubt due to their family heritage, they have extensive plantings of Italian varietals, including Barbera.
In the glass: Deep, inky red to purple.
On the nose: Intense blackcurrant and plum, cola, liquorice and vanillin oak.
On the palate: Ripe and full-bodied with a core of dark fruit, complex tannins, fresh acidity and plenty of vanillin oak in support.
