Far from shrinking violets, these lesser known Artistic Alternative whites will excite you with their pronounced aromas, enticing palates and tantalising textures. Sample this stunning dozen today for just $13.99 a bottle.

A savoury-style treat from the Adelaide Hills, the Chain of Ponds Amelia's Letter Pinot Grigio 2013 opens with aromas of perfumed apple, musk, lemon butter and a hint of ginger. The elegant yet complex palate has a lovely weave of lemon, pear and ginger balance to finish.

Crafted by winemaker Anna Hooper, the Cape Jaffa Waxed Lyrical Marsanne 2013 is another highlight of the pack. Bold yellow coloured, it shows a profusion of yellow melon, beeswax and honeysuckle perfume. On the palate there’s a powerful mix of honey and ripe melon with beautiful texture and length. This is a great young-drinker with soft acidity and interesting textural appeal.

A case of mistaken identity saw the savoury, textural dry white variety Savagnin named Albariño for some years here in Australia. Now known by its correct name, and not related in any way to Sauvignon Blanc, the Irvine Springhill Savagnin 2011 shows subtle aromatics, generous pear and lemon fruit on the palate, and tangy acidity to finish.

Challenge your artistic side and try something a little different to the mainstream varieties with these delicious alternative whites and more. Along with these wines you'll love the tasty savings of $76 on the dozen! Don't miss out!
