Buller Wines Langdon Durif 2010

Sometimes referred to as Petite Syrah, Durif is classically spicy with rich plummy flavours, and this example from Buller Wines is an excellent example of the style, which has outstanding cellaring potential.
 
Buller Wines is a fourth generation family based winery, which has been producing wine in Victoria since 1921. From the Mediterranean-like climate of Victoria’s Heathcote region, this deep ruby purple Durif shows rich rum and raisin characters on the nose and a deep, intense palate with ripe berry fruit, gorgeous plum pudding characters, regional earth, lingering tannins and well-balanced acidity.
