Although Trebbiano is the second most widely planted grape in the world, this Italian variety is relatively unknown in Australia. Thank goodness for Campbells and their beautifully crisp interpretation.
Trebbiano has found a niche in Rutherglen where it ripens late in the season and retains its vibrant acidity while developing ripe fruit flavours. It shows restrained citrus and mineral aromas, is light and crisp in the mouth, and the flavours build in intensity to a clean, savoury finish.
