Carillion Cabernet Merlot Petit Verdot 2014

Fruit for the 2014 Cabernet Merlot Petit Verdot was grown in the Carillion Vineyard in cool climate Orange. Starting at 600 metres, the varying altitude levels provide different climate zones for growing a range of varieties in one area.
 
In the glass: Youthful red purple.
On the nose: Jube-like dark berry fruits over redcurrant, plum and charry oak.
On the palate: Quite elegant with a lovely core of black fruits, herbaceous and white pepper notes and velvety tannin depth.
