Cassegrain Semillon 2014

While the Cassegrain winery is located in Hastings River, winemaker John Cassegrain sourced premium fruit from the Hunter Valley to produce their 2014 Semillon.
 
In the glass: Medium to full lemon.
On the nose: Bright lemon and straw varietals with a subtle grassy twist and fine notes of lemongrass and grapefruit.
On the palate: Full and ripe yet clean and fresh and strongly varietal with rich layers of lemon curd, honeysuckle, grapefruit and lanolin with grassy acidity on the long finish.
