In the winery: Partial fermentation in traditional open fermenters, then completed in barrel. Matured in barrel for 20 months.
In the glass: Dark red with a faint brick hue.
On the nose: Meaty, gamey, leathery dark fruit and spice aromas.
On the palate: Rich and chocolatey with dark plum, mulberry, cassis and leafy minty varietal expression. Hints of leather and cigar box, firm but fine tannins and fresh acidity.
