A dedicated and passionate family owned and operated Margaret River winery, Chalice Bridge named their single vineyard ‘Quest’ series in honour of their own quest for winemaking perfection.
A warm and dry summer allowed for the development of ripe and rich berry flavours and as a result, the fruit was harvested at optimum ripeness. After tank fermentation, the final fermentation and maturation was in French oak for 12 months. The wine received 12 months bottle maturation prior to release.
Made by Janice McDonald, it presents lifted currant, cassis and crushed leaf aromas. Maturing nicely, it’s showing dense, plush and generous fruit weight with layers of dark berry, mint and caraway seed on the multi-layered palate, which has a ripe, Bordeaux-like character and seamless line and length.
