Flying Fish Cove’s Damon Eastaugh originally studied law, but thankfully he fell in love with winemaking and now makes beauties like this classic Australian blend. When the Panel tasted it, they thought it was easily a $30 wine!
Deep red to black in colour, it presents fully ripe black and red fruit aromas with the added complexity of fine kitchen spice, cinnamon and black pepper. The beautiful youthful palate has loads of blackcurrant and cola characters and is still showing loads of energy underpinned by deep, firm Margaret River tannin elegance. Still firm yet polished, deep and long. A lovely wine.
