The name of this wine comes from the ironstone present in the soils of McLaren Vale. A blend of the region’s three star reds, it’s well deserving of its place in d’Arenberg’s Icon series.
From this deep ruby coloured wine a sweet mix of candied fruit, plum and cinnamon aromas lifts from the glass. Layered, youthful and tight, the palate abounds in juicy dark fruit flavours and complexing layers of white pepper, florals and rich spice. Fine tannins and generous fruit flavours linger on the very long and juicy finish.
