Head Wines The Contrarian Shiraz 2015

In the winery: Fermentation was cool and long using some whole bunches. Foot crushing and pigeage extended the contact time with grape skins and stems building more tannin weight.
In the glass: Dense red black.
On the nose: Lifted plum pudding, currant and cedary oak.
On the palate: Very rich and powerful with a velvety soft core of fruit, graphite-like tannins, touches of black olive and sarsaparilla and earthy persistence.
