Mr Riggs Mrs. Viognier 2013

This wine comes from Ben Riggs who, after 21 vintages working for others, decided to go out on his own. It’s been a smart move with fabulous wines like this elegant style of Viognier the result.
 
Fine straw green in the glass, it displays aromas of green tropicals, guava and lime with a hint of background ginger. Rich, ripe and long, the palate shows strong white and green tropicals dominated by melon with fine, dry persistence. None of the overt dried apricot and honeysuckle you expect of this variety.
