From one of Yarra Valley’s most awarded producers, under their alternate ‘Sewn’ label, comes a very approachable classic Aussie blend, Sewn by Seville Estate Little Red 2018. This Cabernet Shiraz blend features a powerful palate of spicy red fruits with whole-bunch complexity. Medium-weight and easy-drinking with soft cherry and blood plum, notes of crushed leaf, pepper and liquorice, bright acidity and integrated oak.
Santolin’s Cosa Nostra Pinot Syrah 2017 is a delicious 50/50 blend of Yarra Pinot Noir and Shiraz. Old oak is used to allow the fruit flavours to shine, and with only 140 dozen made this is a limited release. Medium-bodied with bright acidity, a core of cherry, cranberry, plum and white pepper, long tannins and balanced oak. Drinking well, and could even be enjoyed slightly chilled in the warmer months.
