The Josef Chromy Zdar Chardonnay 2012 from the Tamar Valley, Tasmania, is a real charmer. With aromas of peaches and cream, sweet fruit and oak and touches of honeyed development, it is mealy, textural, nutty, dry and savoury, youthful yet complex, packed with oyster shell minerality, vibrant acidity, umami deliciousness and terrific flavour length. When paired with a classic French cassoulet, it only gets better.
From the Hunter Valley comes the Eagles Rest Maluna Chardonnay 2011. Another great example of an aged Chardonnay, it is fine-boned and complex with a vibrant core of yellow fruit, complex nutty notes, energetic and long acidity and plenty of deluxe oak, begging to be enjoyed with richer white meat or fish dishes like baked salmon with lemon and herb butter.
Be seduced by these beautiful Chardonnays, and enjoy impressive savings of $88.
