Umamu Sparkling Chardonnay 2005

This is a unique aged style with everything you'd you'd expect of a vintage Sparkling.
 
In the glass: Youthful medium lemon straw.
On the nose: Lifted, developed aromas of buttered toast and preserved lemon with background smokey/aldehyde notes.
On the palate: Full-bodied, layered and rich yet still vibrant with a strong undercurrent of leesy depth under a butterscotch-like core of fruit – a full, strong and savoury style.
