We couldn't have done it without you!
We recently celebrated turning 40 and we'd like to take this opportunity to thank all our valued customers for their support. Whether you've been with us for 40 years, a few years or you've just joined, you're an important part of the Wine Selectors story.
Here's what some long standing customers had to say about us
Steve Post, WA
“Last year a friend convinced me to attend the Good Food and Wine Show in Perth. At that time I could hardly be referred to as a connoisseur, more a philistine really. My friend and I stumbled (literally) into the Wine Selectors stand. A very affable young gent offered us a taste and a spiel about the merits of Wine Selectors.
Unlike many decisions made under the influence of the crimson nectar, the decision to sign up with the Regional Series has proved one of my better ones, sober or otherwise.
Each quarter I receive my regional selection which enables me to sample wines from a different region in Australia. I am educated about the area and my senses are tuned to the regional nuances and variations of each selection. I used to think that wine was just wine, but Wine Selectors has opened my eyes and tastebuds to this ever-changing world.
Even though this journey has a long way to go, I can now tell a Merlot from a Cabernet, a Margaret River from a Coonawarra and thanks to the quality of the wines delivered by the experts, I often out-class my cultured friends with the fantastic drop I open to share with a meal. That’s priceless. I can not recommend Wine Selectors highly enough and I encourage anyone with even the slightest interest in wine to take the plunge.”
Mikayla Cutis, QLD
“Wine Selectors has been on a journey with us that we didn't even know they were on! Your beautiful wines have kept us company late into the night entertaining our friends at our first home, toasted our exciting engagement, helped us make assembling wedding invitations a bit more interesting and celebrated our marriage. And Wine Selectors also became a source of jealousy while I was pregnant with my daughter and helped us celebrate her safe and magical arrival...
You caused us much grief as we travelled through the south of France because as hard as we tried, we could not find a wine that matched our favourites waiting in our wine cabinet at home! A few years on, a beautiful glass of wine at the end of a long day is a quiet reminder to enjoy the small things in life. My husband and I put our feet up, reconnect, relax and discuss the aroma, the acidity, and the undertones of the wine and of our life. Hopefully we have many more years ahead of us and we are so glad Wine Selectors came along for the ride.”
Robyn Withers, TAS
“As a very proud Tasmanian, more often than not I would choose to drink Tasmanian wine over others from interstate and overseas. However I was recently at Melbourne airport killing time and a lovely young man from Wine Selectors offered me a tasting as part of your Regional Series. I was very impressed by the four wines I tried and when he explained the benefits of joining as well as the beautiful magazine and calendar (of which he gave me a freebie then and there) I was in!
Consequently, through receiving the Regional Series over the past twelve months, I have discovered some absolute gems, both red and white, from all regions of Australia. Many of these smaller boutique wineries would not have come to my attention prior to joining. Thank you Wine Selectors for broadening my palate and greatening experience.”
James & Ellen Bridge, NSW
“We came across Wine Selectors at the Royal Easter Show last year and signed up with excitement and anticipation. The last year of membership has exceeded our expectations and enriched our lives. We have been on many trips to the Hunter, Orange, South Coast and Canberra districts of which Wine Selectors have played an integral part...
On your advice we have met wonderful people and experienced brilliant tastings at luncheons and cellar doors. We have developed a greater understanding and appreciation for food and wine. We enjoy everything Wine Selectors have to offer and look forward to your recommendations for our next trip to the Barossa which will be our 2 year wedding anniversary.”
Daryll Hadfield, NSW
“I am not a wine aficionado, nor would I describe myself as overly knowledgeable about wines. But I know what I like. I have been a member of, firstly, the Hunter Valley Wine Society, and now Wine Selectors, since 1979 or 1980. I think this makes me one of the longest serving members and I can say without hesitation that I have never had a bottle of wine that I have not enjoyed..
Having a team of experts select a dozen bottles of wine for you every three months is a luxury well worth the membership. We have often had friends and family compliment us on our wines at dinners and I can say, with a feeling of guilty pleasure, that I have accepted these with pride. The wines also represent excellent value. At times when I have paid a fairly hefty price in a wine store for what was supposed to be a premium wine, I have been disappointed when comparing it to what I get through Wine Selectors. For anyone who would like to drink good value wine and have confidence that what you are drinking is a quality drop, then membership of Wine Selectors is a great benefit. I know when I pull a bottle out of my wine cupboard I have an experience coming that I will savour and enjoy. Many thanks for making wine drinking to a non-expert easy and pleasurable.”

"Last year my husband and I moved from Melbourne to our little farm in Central Victoria and because of our new remote location, I regrettably decided to ring Wine Selectors to cancel our regular delivery of reds as I had assumed that we wouldn’t be able to get a delivery. But I was delighted when I was assured that it was no trouble at all! We now collect our delivery from the nearest post office along with the mail. How civilised is that? Not only are we still enjoying our “reds” but our wine collection still growing and the recipes and travel in Selector Magazine are looked forward to almost much as the wine! Thank you."

"We signed up at Sydney airport on the way to Melbourne last week. We got back on Monday and our wine had been delivered that afternoon. Looking forward to trying them. Love the recipes in the book and can't wait to marry them for our taste-buds and our friends! CHEERS!!"
Lee Cameron, Facebook - October 2014
"The recipe for the October 2014 calendar is Washed Rind Cheese Custard. They were very rich little treats as we were lucky to find some Nimbin washed rind cheese at our local grocer. The sweet sourness of the rhubarb tamed this dish. Washed down with a superb Canberra Crush House Chardonnay that I accidentally ordered. I had a bit of amateurish trouble with the praline but would certainly make this again."

"Every month, a group of friends get together and cook the recipe from this months calendar, drink the monthly wine and finish off with a deadly game of Scrabble. The first meal for 2015 was a superb Fish poached in Thai broth served with a Henley Hill Sauvignon Blanc. Superb, enjoyed on the deck at Sawtell."

"Just wanted to put in a good word for Michael who looks after wine tasting at Sydney Airport. He was super friendly; obviously loves his job and wasn't too pushy (although did do all the right things in terms of explaining a deal!). I'm not a wine guy whatsoever, but he made me at least consider joining up with Wine Selectors which I wouldn't have done if he was rude. Give that man a raise!"
Sue Stimpson, Facebook - April 2015
"Love my delivery that I received yesterday. Particularly loving the recipes and presentation of the Selector Magazine. Great stuff! Thank you."
