Chain of Ponds The Amadeus Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

In the winery: Small portions of Merlot (6%)and Shiraz (4%) were added to the Cabernet to round out the palate and give a more seamless fruit presence.
In the glass: Medium to deep red.
On the nose: Bright plum and spice.
On the palate: Ripe and velvety yet delicate with a ripe core of red and black fruit, soft tannins and well-judged oak. Still very youthful in colour and flavour with appealing cool climate spice and lift.
