Eldredge Reserve Malbec 2014

In the winery: Normally blended with Cabernet Sauvignon, this barrel selection demanded to be bottled as a single varietal, and is only the third release of such a wine from Eldredge.
In the glass: Deep dark red purple.
On the nose: Dark berry fruit with dried herb and oak.
On the palate: Rich, dense and chocolatey – almost sweet yet deliciously drinkable. Shows some leathery, savoury characters balancing the sweet core of fruit and attractive spice notes on the finish.
