In 1977 when Jim Barry first purchased the Lodge Hill property, his intention was to devote the entire area to Riesling. However, he quickly identified a small area that was ideal for growing premium Shiraz, and the rest, as they say is history.
Bright deep red in colour, the Jim Barry The Lodge Hill Shiraz 2012, exudes aromas of sweet dark fruits and toasty oak, while the delightful palate features intense red and black fruits with classic regional acid and tannin structure. Youthful and vibrant with fine length and persistence.
