Fruit for the Koonowla Shiraz 2012 was selected from Koonowla Wines’ oldest Shiraz block located on their property that lies just east of Auburn in the Clare Valley.
Dark red in the glass, this Shiraz opens with concentrated black fruit aromas with hints of earth and leather. Inky and dense, the palate offers plum and black olive power, smoky oak and long, leathery complexity. Tannins will soften in the medium term.
