Molly's Cradle Merlot 2012

Molly’s Cradle is a family-owned and operated winery based in the Hunter Valley that also sources fruit from other premium regions, including Clare Valley, which provided the grapes for this spicy Merlot.
 
This deep red coloured Merlot presents lifted blackcurrant and licorice aromas with a hint of eucalypt on the nose. The intense palate has a dark core of plummy fruit flavours, peppery notes and spicy rhubarb-like length. Enjoyable now but will reward cellaring.
