Montepulciano hails from the central Italian regions of Abruzzo and Tuscany. It makes rich, dark-fruited styles that are an excellent alternative to Shiraz.
Inky dark red. Heavy-toast oak over sweet dark berry fruit. A complex and interesting wine with concentrated black fruit, sweet charry oak, fleshy tannin foundation, and a mouth-watering acidity. Very flavoursome.
