In the winery: After malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged in new and one-year-old French oak barriques for 15 months.
In the glass: Dense red black.
On the nose: Inky, curranty powerhouse with intense black fruits and black pepper.
On the palate: Dense black fruits throughout with deeper anise accents and spicy, peppery persistence over inky to tarry tannins. A very powerful wine with a long, lingering presence.
