Terra Felix Vitae Merlot 2016

This is a great example of a ‘smooth’ and velvet-like Merlot. Its core of black fruit and subtle bay leaf give immediate appeal!
 
In the glass: Deep red black.
On the nose: Alluring cola and briarberry with touches of hoisin, anise and cassis.
On the palate: Interesting savoury complexity with a massive core of dense black fruit supported by a broad foundation of tannin and cedary oak. Very concentrated yet only medium weight – an iron fist in a velvet glove.
